As a wedding photographer in the Blue Ridge Parkway area, I have had the pleasure of capturing many breathtaking moments in some of the most scenic locations around. One of my favorite engagement sessions was with Devon and Gabe at the top of Beacon Heights, where the view was absolutely stunning. It was slightly cloudy that day, but that made the sunset absolutely perfect, casting a warm, romantic glow over the entire scene.

We were lucky to have the place to ourselves, which made the session feel like a private, easygoing date night. We could listen to music, take our time, and just enjoy the process. Devon and Gabe were so much fun to work with, and their chemistry was undeniable. As they laughed and danced against the backdrop of the sweeping mountains, I captured some truly magical moments. The whole session flew by in what felt like an instant, leaving us all feeling on cloud nine. It’s one of those rare sessions that feel like things just slid into place.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a wedding and couples photographer. Capturing the love and joy between two people is an incredible privilege, and it’s even more special when it takes place in such a stunning location like Beacon Heights. I feel so grateful to have been a part of this couple’s journey, and I can not wait for their wedding in May!
