Hi, I'm Shannon a traveling wedding photographer based out of North Carolina.
I'm not here to choreograph your wedding. I'm here to watch it unfold... and every once in a while, pull you somewhere with incredible light and ask you to do something you didn't expect. The result is a day that felt real, and photos that look like something you're excited to hang on your wall.
I work with couples who want their wedding to feel like a wedding, and their photos to feel like art. If that's you, I'd love to hear about your day.

So here's how I work: most of your day, I'm invisible. I'm catching your maid of honor trying not to cry during the vows. I'm watching your dad pace outside the door before he walks you down the aisle. I'm finding the frame inside the frame, the quiet moment between the big ones.
But I do have an eye, and when it's time to use it, I will. During portraits, I'll guide you somewhere with great light and tell you exactly what to do with yourselves. You won't have to wonder if you look good. That's my job, and I take it seriously. We just don't need the whole day to stop for it. I'll get you everything you came for and then I want to try one thing that's just ours. No rules, no reference photos. Just something that feels like you, on that day, made into something worth keeping.

I'm Shannon. East coast based, West coast raised. Deeply sentimental, endlessly enthusiastic. I will absolutely cry when your grandparents slow dance and probably during your vows as well...
I got into wedding photography because I couldn't stop thinking about two things: cinema and fashion. The way a great film makes you feel something without explaining it. The iconic whimsy of a beautiful dress. I wanted to find a way to bring both of those obsessions into something real, and weddings turned out to be the most honest, most emotional, most visually rich subject matter I could imagine.

What can I even say about my wedding photos? Simply unbelievable. I initially had a hard time choosing our photographer, because to me, this is the most important vendor of the day…
After our phone call with Shannon I knew she was the one… she got it. The way she described her approach was spot on to what I was looking for. She captured our wedding day better than I could have even imagined… there were shots I had no idea were even being taken that I will cherish forever. Not only does she deliver amazing work, but she is a breath of fresh air to be around. Down to earth, hilarious, and my entire family talked about how much they liked her by the end of the day.
