As a wedding photographer who specializes in natural documentary style photography, I recently had the pleasure of shooting at the Mast Farm Inn in Valle Crucis. This historic property has been undergoing renovations that artfully blend an updated modern style with the inn’s rich history. Our photoshoot was a way to honor both sides of that equation and capture the beauty of this unique venue. Anytime Hannah of Missmatch Rentals reaches out with a styled shoot idea, I know it’s going to be good.
The Mast Farm Inn offers a variety of picturesque locations for a photoshoot, from the sprawling gardens to the charming rustic barn. As we moved through the property, I was struck by the attention to detail in the renovations. The modern touches seamlessly blended with the historic charm of the inn, creating a perfect backdrop for our natural documentary style. Not to mention these high fashion model horses… they understood the assignment that say the least! Dresses were provided by Juniper James, the place on the mountain to get a unique wedding dress that feels far from cookie cutter…
In the end, the Mast Farm Inn in Valle Crucis proved to be an ideal location for a natural documentary style photoshoot. The inn’s rich history and recent renovations provided a unique backdrop for the shoot, and the photos we captured feel like they are straight out of a summer romance novel. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that blends modern style with historic charm, the Mast Farm Inn in Valle Crucis is definitely worth checking out. It’s one of my favorite intimate wedding venue in the High Country of North Carolina.
